If you see one of these signs around our community, know that a GREAT student lives there!
If your student was a Leader of the Month for August and you don’t see your sign, please reach out to the school and let us know. We want to make sure every one of our student leaders is celebrated. #OurHabitsOurFuture

Every school day matters! When students attend school regularly, they have more opportunities to learn, build relationships, participate in activities, and reach their full potential.
This September, let’s work together to make every day count. Families, teachers, staff, and our entire community all play an important role in supporting good attendance.
🎯 Be Present. Be Powerful. Be Your Best!
Together, we can make attendance a priority and help every student stay on the path to success. 💙

Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. The raffle is September 25, and the passes will be valid October through December.
More tickets purchased = more chances to WIN! Take the lead, Colts!

Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 3. Pictures begin at 8:30 AM.
The best part? No money is needed on Picture Day! Your child will have their picture made first, and families can view the images before deciding what they would like to purchase.
This year, families will have more choices, including:
• Choice of summer or fall background

Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS) is so very thankful for all of our Partners in Education. So many businesses and organizations help provide opportunities and experiences for our students and teachers. Our district partners that each contribute in excess of $10,000 in value to help students are Brightmoor, Chick-fil-A, Dairy Queen, First National Bank, Georgia Banking Company, Marco's Pizza, Piedmont Fayette Hospital and United Bank. Thank you! Many others support the REACH and similar scholarships, individual schools, fine arts, athletics, and more. Some, like Norcom, provide school supplies. Some take part in the Partners in Education Fundraiser Golf Tournament (Sept 25 this year). Others serve as mentors and reading tutors for students. Community churches host events, volunteer at schools and pray for our students and staff. Thank you Griffin and Spalding for supporting our future through public education. We need you and we appreciate you!

We’re looking forward to a special morning filled with good food, great company, and time together. Blackshear Photography will be here with photo packages available, and our Scholastic Book Fair will also be open!
We can’t wait to see our Colts and their Grands! #OurHabitsOurFuture
