Senior Walk 2026 - check our Facebook for ALL the pictures! :-)

One of our staff’s favorite traditions each year is welcoming back our former students for Senior Walk. While they may be graduating high school now, they will always be “our kids” to us. Seeing them walk our halls again — grown up, accomplished, and ready to take on the world — brought so many smiles, happy tears, and proud hearts yesterday.

Thank you, Seniors, for taking the time to come back and share this special moment with us. Watching you grow into the amazing young adults you are today is truly one of the greatest joys of being part of your journey.

To our Seniors: go be amazing. Work hard, lead others in the right direction, believe in yourself, and continue making your families and community proud. The future is bright because of students like you.

And to the families — we know your hearts are overflowing with pride. Give those graduates a few extra hugs and celebrate all they have accomplished. What a beautiful milestone this is for all of you! Thanks, again, for trusting us with your students years ago and we cannot wait to continue to see them grow.

Our library shelves are feeling a little empty — we still have 113 books missing for the school year! Please help your students do another really good “book hunt” at home by checking under beds, under car seats, in closets, baskets, bookshelves, and anywhere books may be hiding. Every returned book helps us get ready for next year’s readers! 📚 #WalkTheWalk

Day four of Teacher Appreciation was “The One with the Wake Up,” featuring donuts and coffee for our staff. What a great way to start the morning.

A big thank you to Carver Road Baptist Church for providing the donuts and coffee for our teachers and staff.

As we continue celebrating our amazing teachers, families can help make their day extra special by sending a message on Dojo sharing something specific—maybe a funny story your child tells at home, a way their teacher helped them through a tough moment, or something your child looks forward to each day at school because of their teacher.

Day three of Teacher Appreciation was “The One with the Fizzy Drinks,” featuring a fun dirty soda buffet for our staff to enjoy.

Never tried one before? You pick your favorite soft drink, add a cream of your choice, mix in flavored syrup, pour over ice, and stir. Add whipped cream on top if you’re feeling extra fancy.

A big thank you to Brightmoor for helping provide toppings, syrups and creams for this fun treat.

As we wrap up celebrating our teachers, we’d love for families to send a message on Dojo sharing something meaningful—maybe a favorite thing your child says about their teacher, a moment that made them feel special, or something your child has accomplished this year because of their encouragement.

Day two of Teacher Appreciation, “The One with the Taco ’Bout Lunch,” was a delicious success with a Mexican lunch buffet for our staff. We also had a “Cowan Perk” set up as a relaxing space for teachers to unwind and recharge.

It was a wonderful time to enjoy great food and a well-deserved break together. If you’d like to brighten a teacher’s day, consider sending a message on Dojo sharing something specific—maybe a moment your child felt encouraged, something new they’ve learned this year, a time their confidence grew, or a way that teacher made a difference for your family.

We kicked off Teacher Appreciation a little early this year so everyone could enjoy the fun before testing began!

Day one, “The One with Sweet Sips or Scoops,” was a hit with the Coffee-a-Go-Go truck—staff enjoyed yummy drinks and cool ice cream treats.

We’re so grateful for our amazing teachers! If you’d like to make their day even brighter, we know they’d love to hear a quick note or sweet story about how they’ve impacted your family—feel free to share or send them a message on Dojo.
