FINAL Immunization Deadline is Tomorrow, November 22! All Pre-K, Kindergarten, 7th or 11th grade students without updated immunization records will be sent home tomorrow, November 22, until updated records are received. Acceptable records include an updated Form 3231, a Medical Waiver (good for one year), a notarized Religious Waiver, or an appointment card. Please contact your school nurse with any questions or concerns.
Important Announcement for Thanksgiving Feast today:
Due to the Memorial Service for Eric Weems and the accompanying procession, Cowan Road has been blocked at 92/West McIntosh. If you are attending Thanksgiving lunch at Cowan Road, please access the school via Vineyard Road and approach Cowan Road from that direction.
The service will take place at Griffin First Assembly, 2000 W. McIntosh Road, at 11:00 AM, with a procession starting at 10:00 AM.

Yesterday, GSCS Superintendent Dr. Simmons had his first Teacher Advisory Council meeting of this school year with all of the 2024-25 School-Level Teachers of the Year. Our students will be asked to complete a new student survey soon. It should take students approximately 10 minutes to complete, and it asks about the quality of teaching and learning, the school environment, support for students, and how commonly students in the school face challenges (such as being bullied). Names cannot be tied to survey answers in any way, and students can skip any question. The data will help leaders improve the school. Parents/guardians have the rights to request a copy of the questions on the survey and/or opt out of their child completing the survey. The attachments/linkto this email will give you directions to complete these students, if chosen. Opt-out forms should be submitted/completed by November 8. Thanks!
